The time has come again to showcase new masterpieces created by some of the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden’s wildly talented animal artists! The Zoo is excited to host its eighth annual Art Gone Wild show at the Myriad Botanical Gardens, 301 West Reno, Oklahoma City. The exhibition will be on display from September 1-30 in the Crystal Bridge, south lobby. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Art Gone Wild features original paintings created by an eclectic array of Zoo animals. With a little assistance from their caregivers, each animal develops their own unique method of painting. Some use tools such as paintbrushes while others paint with their flippers, trunks, paws, tails and noses.
During Art Gone Wild, guests can peruse and purchase these unique paintings with prices starting as low as $55. All net proceeds benefit the Zoo’s conservation initiatives.
