Raindrop Foundation Educational Services has been organizing educational events to promote education and information exchange special focus on public issues like health, education, arts and environment.
We are hosting Fenton Rood, Assistant Division Director of Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and the President of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful as the Keynote Speaker to share with us about the importance of recycling and will teach us how to be a recycling advocate in the title of «The Fundamentals of Recycling» on Saturday, December 2nd at 2pm. at Raindrop Foundation
Fenton Rood is the Assistant Division Director for the Land Protection Division of the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. He has served as a senior manager in the regulatory programs for solid waste management and hazardous waste management. He helped develop the Superfund program in Oklahoma to clean up abandoned hazardous waste facilities.
For over twenty years Fenton has also been involved in the organic foods business. He and his wife have operated natural foods stores and restaurants. He earned a B.A. in Geography, and an M.P.H. in Environmental Health, both from the University of Oklahoma. He is also an adjunct faculty in OU’s Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability, and Civil Engineering and Environmental Science. At the University of Phoenix he teaches environmental science, environmental ethics, nutrition, health and wellness, and algebra. At Rose State College he teaches Introduction to Environmental Science, Environmental Science Laboratory, Industrial Hygiene, and Solid and Hazardous Waste Management.
Fenton is the current president of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful. and the chairman of the board of the Treebank Foundation.
