Much of what the Museum’s visitors have come to see and expect in experiencing art is largely influenced by the contemporary artists who paint and sculpt the American West in what is considered an expression of “realism.” This exhibition will redirect the visitor’s attention to the importance of what you do not see rather than what you do see on the canvas, and the opportunity to see something different in the same painting each time it is viewed. This exhibition is organized by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
