Spring Herbal Reconnect!
Herbs are the Medicine of the People, and Spring beckons to us to renew an engagement with their energy! Join Traditional Western Herbalist Joan Cowden for a class that focuses on reconnecting with the green world using ten «common» herbs found in most kitchens. She will demonstrate how these are actually uncommon allies that can help us heal on many levels, and will share tips for connecting with the green world. The class will cover basic principles of working with herbs including tasting, uses, and basic preparations for each herb. She will also discuss two energetic properties for each herb and how those guide the choices for use. Join us as we open the gate to the magical kitchen garden, and renew a joyous connection with the wise beings that are our healing allies.
Class is limited to twenty-five participants, so pre-registration is appreciated! To register, call Joan at (405) 946-5000. $20.00 for two-hour class, pay at the door.
Joan practices and teaches the constitutional model of Western Vitalist Herbalism, which fosters physiological, emotional, and energetic aspects of health.
Plants were our first medicines — the Medicine of the People. They promote restoration and vitality on multiple levels, and help the body open deeply to it's innate ability to heal itself. Working with herbal allies also helps us reunite with the natural world, strengthening our connections with the Gaiafield.
