This event will be put on by Koda CrossFit and our partners at Athleta. It is aimed at girls 9-14 and are classes focused on body weight exercises and stretches that are designed to teach girls about strengthening muscle groups and the benefits of circuit training.
The classes are paired with a body image workshop which focuses on how different muscles grow and develop and helps girls to identify different approaches to healthy body weight. The idea of this is that the girls will learn about the benefits of muscle group training and learn to identify what healthy weight (aka strong vs skinny) looks like in all kinds of athletes.
They will have a variety of female trainers and Athletes lined up to attend these classes as well, and moms are welcome to join in the workouts to help encourage the girls! The workouts are obstacle course-based to allow for a fun experience that will engage and challenge the girls.
Girls may stay after the class for snacks and healthy treats, as well as meet some of the athletes until 3 pm.
