Now celebrating it's 16th year, Odyssey de Culinaire will set sail its annual summer voyage this July, during which attendees will enjoy a five-course meal and an accompanying wine selection.
On Thursday, July 12, Oklahoma City chefs Patrick Clark II, The Red Cup; Jonas Favela, MMR Prime Steakhouse; Theron Jessop, The Springs at The Artesian; Aaron Miles, Skirvin Hilton Hotel; and Michael Paske, Cafe 7 Delicatessin & Pastaria will create amazing dishes for attendees at downtown OKC’s Skirvin Hilton Hotel.
One week later, on Thursday, July 19, Tulsa chefs Ben Alexander, The Tavern; Miranda Kaiser, Laffa Medi-Eastern Restaurant & Bar; Saul Paniagua, River Spirit Resort; Tim Slavin, SMOKE. Woodfire Grill; and Trey Winkle, Levain will prepare a fabulous dining experience for attendees at the River Spirit Resort.
The event’s lead coordinating chef is Mark Vannasdall of Traditions Spirits, and he’ll be assisted by Chef Bill Leib of Francis Tuttle Technology Center.
The chefs are paired in their course preparation with high school students who are currently active in ProStart® schools in Oklahoma. Funds raised from the event are used to to benefit the ORA’s Oklahoma Hospitality Foundation, which provides support to students, teachers, and schools who are involved in Student Programs. This support includes teacher training and development, materials and resources for student recruitment, assistance with job placement for internships, graduate employment, and industry-driven events for hospitality students.
A champagne reception will begin both evenings at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will follow at 7:00 p.m.
